There's something about rooftop views that always gets me excited. It's possibly because there really aren't that many tall buildings in Boca, and therefore, not many places you can go to get a bird's-eye-view of our lovely little paradise of strip malls and palm trees.

So, of course, when I found about the opening of Sky Salon and Spa on the top floor of the Milan at Town Center building (directly across from the Shops at Boca Center), I was intrigued. When I saw pictures of the place, I was dying to go. When they invited me to get a free haircut, I was ready to drop my entire life for this appointment. Really.

I'm always a sucker for salon with a niche—there are a million places to get your hair done around here, but only one with a view (it was a little overcast on the day I was there, but I'm told on clear days you could nearly see all the way to the ocean). The salon itself is equally chic, with pale sky-blue walls, airy white curtains, eco-friendly chestnut floors and the greatest lighting you could possibly dream of—the closest thing to natural daylight... aka, perfect makeup lighting, ladies.

Sky offers full salon services as of now, including an awesome color "cafe," where you can sit and round tables while your stylist brings you a mimosa and colors your hair (awesome). A huge spa section is also in the works, and there's also talk of opening up the outdoor balcony area for facials and massages (also, awesome).

Oh, and I probably should mention, there's more to this place than just looks—Lavinia gave me the best haircut I've gotten in years. They know their stuff. I'm totally going back.

I recently visited Sky Salon & Spa for the first time and I must say I was rather impressed from the moment I walked through the door. The reception welcomed me right away and offered me a beverage of my choice. I would highly recommend Aaron, she gave me exactly what i was looking for, and really took the time to listen to what i wanted. If you go there for color, definitely use AARON!!!
