From the time I was in high school up until a few months ago, I was a one-perfume kind of girl—and that one perfume was the now discontinued Stila Creme Bouquet (R.I.P). After I got through the initial heartbreak that came along with bidding farewell, I began to accept that I would simply have to find another favorite fragrance.
Well, who knew there were so many delicious-smelling perfumes out there? Over the past few months, I have added a few new ones to my repertoire—most recently, Tuscan Blood Orange by Pacifica. I discovered this stuff at a little dried-flower store in Pittsburgh last weekend, and while I am usually more of a fan of floral fragrances, I love this one because it is citrusy but not like eau-de-Lysol citrusy. It's very sweet—it almost smells like it has notes of vanilla, raspberry and mango, with a little bit of spice. Whether it has all of that stuff or not, I have decided that I will be using this fragrance non-stop all summer.
After doing some investigating, I found that it is carried locally at Whole Foods Market in Boca (1400 Glades Road, 561/447-0000), along with a bunch of other Pacifica perfumes (they have a whole line of more than 20 fragrances in liquid and solid forms, candles, lotions and other things).
Oh, and I should probably mention that Pacifica products are completely eco-friendly, made from sustainable materials and with recyclable packaging. All the more reason to fall in love with them.
