This week’s topic is about recycling. Now, I know the first question you might ask is, “What does recycling have to do with saving money?” There are many ways that it can help. For example, why pay for those disposable plastic containers when you can wash and reuse cottage cheese containers or butter-spread containers? During hurricane season, I don’t purchase water. I simply save up some empty milk jugs or soda bottles, wash them out and use them to store water when a storm is approaching. Also, many items can become terrific craft items if you enjoy doing crafts. My kids have loved using paints on egg cartons, backs of cereal boxes as their “canvas,” and so much more. So be creative with items rather than throwing them out. Not only can it be cost-effective, but it is also environmentally friendly to reuse and recycle.
Please continue to ask questions and leave comments. I want this blog to be helpful for you, so let me know what you would like to know more about!
