• And the winner is: Congratulations to Lu-Lu Thomas of the Boca Raton Historical Society for being named Woman Volunteer of the Year at the Junior League's annual spectacular at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Thomas, one of 22 nominees for the honor, has volunteered for more than three decades at the Historical Society, serving in a number of capacities—including a greeter at Town Hall. The announcement culminated an afternoon that included a scintillating fashion show by Saks Fifth Avenue, and a slew of silent auction and raffle items. A Royal Wedding vibe permeated the Mizner Center's Grand Ballroom, as many in the capacity crowd donned elegant, fashionable hats and fascinators. Congratulations to the Junior League on 40 years in Boca—and on another successful Woman Volunteer of the Year luncheon.
