The saga of the former Apicius-turned-Bar Italia-turned-Nobody Was Quite Sure What seems to have had a happy ending with the debut in the gorgeous indoor-outdoor Lantana space of Tapas Latin Fusion (210 E Ocean Blvd., 561-533-5438).
Chef-owner David Rodriguez worked at Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s Lario’s and Oriente restaurants, as well as eateries in New York and New Jersey. He’s also the proprietor of another Tapas Latin Fusion, this one on U.S. 1 in Stuart.
The menu is a compendium of Spanish favorites, tapas and otherwise, from marinated olives and the classic Catalan pan con tamate to crab-stuffed piquilo peppers and gambas al ajillo to more than a half-dozens variations on paella.
With the Ocean Avenue Bridge scheduled to close for two years on March 18, you might want to keep your fingers crossed that TLF and the rest of the businesses on Ocean Avenue can survive. You can bet it’s going to be brutal.
