Go for the green beer and shepherd’s pie or just go for the party at these six local eateries planning a bash for St. Patrick’s Day (which, FYI, is Saturday, March 17).

Biergarten (309 Via de Palmas, Boca Raton, 561/395-7462). All-day food and drinks specials, live music from Bungled & Botched, and prime view of Boca’s first annual Golf Cart Parade are on tap at this suds-centric restaurant-bar in Royal Palm Place.

Slainte (1500 Gateway Blvd., Boynton Beach, 561/742-4190). The classy Irish pub in Renaissance Commons is pulling out all the stops with a giant Guinness tent and beer truck, six bars, live music and a DJ, an outdoor food court and even bagpipers.

O’Shea’s Irish Pub (531 Clematis St., West Palm Beach, 561/833-3865). Not to be outdone, O’Shea’s is throwing an all-day block party, complete with Irish music from the Killbillies, Irish dancers, beer trucks, a party tent, kids area and parade starting at 4 p.m.

EnglishTap & Beer Garden (5050 Town Center Circle, Boca Raton, 561/544-8000). Rock the Shops at Boca Center with a DJ spinning Irish tunes and good ol’ rock ‘n’ roll, plus green beer, whisky and beer specials, and an all-day menu of Irish culinary specialties.

The Dubliner (435 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, 561/620-2540). Bagpipers, the Irish River Dancers, four different live bands, balloon artists and kiddie face painting, along with plenty of Guinness and Irish cuisine and the Mizner Park Irish Parade.

Union (8 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, 561/330-4236). The rest of the year it’s a trendy Asian gastrolounge but on Saturday Union will become McUnion, pouring green beer and equally verdant cocktails and dishing Irish delicacies along with its pan-Asian signatures.
