Seasons are a little wacky in SoFla, as we all know. So when farmers’ markets in the rest of the country are going full blast, ours are shutting down.
Not this year, though, as the area’s premier their farm to your table market, the West Palm Beach Greenmarket, will open for the summer every Wednesday night from 5 to 8 p.m. beginning May 23 to Sept. 19. (The market is now open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through April 14.)
Don't fear, though, the summer greenmarket will still be on the Waterfront Commons Great Lawn, so you can enjoy both the views of the Intracoastal and the easy access to the shops and restaurants of downtown West Palm. And, of course, the vendors. More than 60 all told, offering everything from fresh fruits and veggies to flowers, prepared foods and pastries. For more info, go to http://www.wpb.org/greenmarket.
