They’re seeing red at Downtown at the Gardens and it’s the color of multi-culti tapas.

That’s because the once-moribund but now resurgent Palm Beach Gardens mall will in October welcome Red Tapas & Grille, a world tapas eatery that will fill the space formerly occupied by the short-lived (and not especially well-received) 51 Supper Club.

Brought to you by the same folks who run the Gardens’ wildly successful Cabo Flats (itself looking to open a second location in West Delray late next year), Red promises an equally jazzy eatery, complete with a glass-encased crimson “lava” bar dispensing a wide variety of sangrias, beers, wines and cocktails.

The casual, affordable menu will feature assorted flatbreads, paellas and the like, as well as signatures such as smoked duck with waffles, fried egg and maple syrup; feta, spinach and kalamata olive ravioli with aioli; and dim sum-style pork dumplings with apple hot sauce. Stay tuned for further details as opening date nears.
