If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to eat healthier and lose weight (and who hasn’t pledged to do that?) a pair of local restaurants have your back, er ... belly.
RA Sushi (11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Ave., 561/340-2112) in Palm Beach Gardens is offering a low-cal two-fer of Hitokuchi sashimi and shrimp plate with a choice of one of three “skinny” cocktails, all for $18. The plate consists of 14 pieces of fresh tuna, yellowtail and salmon sashimi, plus shrimp and microgreens, and will cost you 200 calories. The trio of cocktails—Colada-teenie, Blueberry Fizz and Skinny Cucumberita—come in at a mere 150 calories. The deal is on tap until Feb. 28.
Brio Tuscan Grille is rolling out what it calls its Lighter Side of Tuscany menu in all its SoFla locations, including Boca Raton (5050 Town Center Circle, 561/392-3777) and Palm Beach Gardens (3101 PGA Blvd., 561/622-0491). All dishes weigh in (if you can call it that) at 500 calories or less, and range from caprese classico with greens, mozzarella and tomatoes and angelhair pasta with pesto, grilled chicken and veggies to blackened tilapia with citrus pesto sauce and spicy grilled shrimp on orzo and farro pilaf. Prices range from $4.95 to $19.95.
