You’ve shimmied into the Spanx or sucked it in for the cummerbund. You have had plate after plate of the surf and turf, 11 kinds of crème brûlée, cruised one ballroom after another looking for your gussied-up table. You have listened to the speeches and seen the videos and watched all your friends do the Macarena. Again.

Isn’t it time you went to a fundraiser and had FUN?

We have got the answer and it’s this Saturday night: the 20th annual Caribbean Cowboy Ball at Red Reef Park. No ball gowns, no panty hose, no air kissing. Just jeans. Maybe a cowboy hat or a Hawaiian shirt so ugly you can’t wear it in the daytime. That and some foot-stomping music and dancing, great food (in a buffet). A cocktail hour that is actually its own little outdoor party and there you have it—the season’s best un-gala. Everyone in town will be there, and proceeds benefit the George Snow Scholarship Fund. We love this party and we never miss it. So do something good for kids who need help going to school—and give yourself the gift of a great fun party. We’ll see you there.
