Commune with your fellow foodies in a garden-like setting when Tanzy (301 Plaza Real, 561/922-6699) in Mizner Park holds its latest “Dinner in the Garden” on Thursday, Aug. 15.

Exec chef Andre Lane will dish cooking tips and culinary info along with three courses inspired by the bounty of Tanzy’s on-premise herb garden. The evening begins at 7 p.m. with an Italian-esque mojito, rosemary ciabatta with mixed-herb butter and an amuse of seared scallop on a zucchini chip with lime-cilantro sauce.

Then it’s on to starters of mozzarella and prosciutto on a rosemary skewer or baked goat cheese with basil pesto and sun-dried tomato chutney; striped bass with chive butter-braised leeks, rosemary-marinated pork tenderloin with truffle jus or oregano and thyme-breaded eggplant Parmesan; and dessert of chocolate-mint panna cotta with Chambord-scented strawberries. Cost is $38 per person.

For another 20 bucks you can get wines paired with each course, starting with the 2012 Groth Sauvignon Blanc, then the 2006 Ruffino Riserva Ducale “Oro” and finishing with an Italian dessert wine, the Ben Rye from Donnafugata. Seating is limited and rezzies are essential, which you can make by going here.
