Comprehensive Women’s Health Institute in Boca’s Future
Boca Raton Regional Hospital recently broke ground on the $22-million Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute. It's been more than three years since Boca Regional’s board of trustees’ chairperson Christine E. Lynn announced a gift of $10 million to create the new women’s institute at the hospital; she made the donation to honor Gloria Drummond, the inspiration behind then-Boca Raton Community Hospital, on Drummond’s 80th birthday. Drummond passed away in December of 2011 at age 81.
The institute will be a one-stop destination for a spectrum of women’s health care services, including pelvic health, specialty care, preventive cardiology and imaging. Providers there will also focus on fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
The Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute will be located at 690 Meadows Road, Boca Raton. It's expected to open in the summer of 2015.
