If you’re looking for something to do this Memorial Day weekend, here’s a couple suggestions. . .

It will be a hearty party in Delray Beach, as a pair of downtown hotspots are hosting holiday specials. At Burt Rapoport’s Deck 84 (840 E. Atlantic Ave., 561/665-8484), the Keys’ Kasual waterfront eatery will kick it up all weekend long with their third annual Memorial Day celebration. Look for live music Saturday (String Theory), Sunday (Justin Enco) and Monday (Fourth Dimension), along with deals on drinks and all-American barbecue (plus their regular menu).

Up the street aways at Il Bacio (29 SE 2nd Ave., 561/865-7785), the restaurant and lounge is bringing a little SoBe to DeBe with the Sounds from Miami Memorial Day Party. On Monday, May 26 from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., it’s the third annual “white attire” and tech house bash, featuring 10 DJs on indoor and outdoor stages, along with assorted food specials and two-for-one drinks for the first two hours. Tickets are $20 and you can get ‘em here.

If you’re looking for something a little less frenetic, at Italio (1658 N. Federal Hwy., 561/392-7778), the fast-casual DIY pasta-piadina-salad eatery in Boca, in honor of the Memorial Day holiday, any Armed Services vets, active-duty reservists and National Guard members can get a free entrée all day Monday, with no purchase required.

Servicemen and women also get some recognition (and a good deal) at Riggins Crabhouse (607 Ridge Rd., 561/586-3000) in Lantana and Callaro’s Steakhouse (717 Lake Ave., 561/588-9730) in Lake Worth. From today through Memorial Day just present your military ID and get $10 off any check of $25 or more. It’s their way of saying thanks.

And should you be planning your own celebration, you might want to check out the weekend deals at the Crown Wine & Spirits stores in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach. Friday through Monday they’ll be offering 50-percent off selected wines, beers and spirits so if you want to toast the holiday (and the four-day work week) you can drag your weary body back to the office Tuesday morning with at least a few extra pennies in your pocket.
