A good steak doesn’t need any more than a knife, fork and an appetite. But a martini certainly doesn’t hurt. Especially if it’s a $5 martini. That’s the deal at III Forks meateries in Palm Beach Gardens and Hallandale Beach. Every Wednesday a different five-buck “Sure Thing” martini will be offered, so all you really need to bring is an appetite.
And if you’re more into fine suds than cocktails, you may want to check out the Craft Beer Night at Racks Downtown Eatery & Tavern. Every Tuesday the Mizner Park restaurant will dish up a four-course dinner, with each course paired with a different artisan brewski. Cost is $39 per person, which sounds like a pretty good deal.
A couple of benefits are scheduled for later this month too.
On Sunday, Aug. 19, the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and Boca's Pavilion Grille will host “Party With a Promise,” an afternoon bash (from 1 to 4 p.m.) benefiting Family Promise of South Palm Beach, a non-profit group dedicated to helping homeless families. The event takes place at Pavilion Grille; tickets are $5 at the door.
Then on Thursday, Aug. 23, several restaurants at Royal Palm Place will be participating in a dining benefit for The Pap Corps “East to Beat Cancer” fundraiser. Restaurants like Caruso, Jake’s Stone Crab and Raffaele will donate 20 percent of their dinner proceeds from 5 to 8 p.m. to the cause, which also includes a free concert at 6:30 p.m. by The Wild Cats.
