Whose soul is so dead they don’t like tacos and tatas?
Not Rocco Mangel and the rest of the folks behind Rocco’s Tacos, the hugely popular chain of hip, happening, neo-Mexican eateries with branches in West Palm, Boca, Palm Beach Gardens, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.
So for the entire month of October, each of the restaurants will be holding “Tacos & Tatas Tuesdays,” the chance to pig out on Rocco’s signature tacos at lunch or dinner and have a portion of the proceeds donated to the SoFla chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The deal is this, every Tuesday for $14.99 per person is an all-you-can-eat taco fest featuring Rocco’s chicken, pork, steak, beef, mushroom, shrimp and mahi tacos, plus all the fixin’s.
Beginning at 7 p.m., there will also be $5 tequila drinks and shots, $15 margarita pitchers, $3 Mexican beers and $6 ultimate vodka drinks.
But wait, there’s more. Whenever Rocco himself is at the bar of one of his restaurants wearing his custom-made breast cancer awareness pink patent leather shoes, he’ll be pouring complementary tequila shots. Donate $25 or more and he’ll throw in a bottle of Avion tequila for you to take home and guzzle. To find out where he’ll be, check out his Facebook page.
