Not every date requires you to break the bank. Our backyard is dotted with beautiful areas to take someone special. All you need is a little creativity to create a special date on your own.
Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach
Atlantic Avenue is a wonderful experience without a reservation. A direct path to the sea, Delray’s prime strip is decorated with quaint stores, coffee shops, mood lighting, and a lively atmosphere. This place is romantic!
Park near Doc’s All American (10 N. Swinton Ave.) and pick up two ice cream cones. Then head for the shore. The stretch ahead of you is certain to inspire all sorts of conversation. Before you hit the train tracks, hold her hand. Enjoy the crowd (all age groups, all sorts of style). Dress up, dress down. Window shop. Explore Pineapple Grove. If you find yourselves hungry, step into a restaurant, otherwise hit the beach and dig your toes into the sand. Take in the whole night and the sea breeze. We live in paradise.
Mizner Park, Boca Raton
Mizner Park is an upscale, beautiful oasis in downtown Boca Raton (It’s happening!). The plaza offers dining, shopping, live entertainment and a beautiful backdrop for your evening out. Grab a cup of frozen yogurt from Orange Leaf (430 Plaza Real) and sit on a park bench in the center of the park and just talk. Really listen to your date and enjoy the moment. Walk around the plaza, enjoy the latest event is being held at the amphitheater.
The beach, Florida
We are a coastal city! The beach is moments from us at all times, but when was the last time you were there? In the hustle and bustle of work, meetings and social gatherings, it probably has been too long since you last saw the shore. Take your date to the beach! Call them up on a sunny Saturday, pack a lunch (major points, guys) and grab your sunscreen. Renting a jetski, or snorkeling, is optional, but you must soak up the sun.
Red Reef Park (1400 N. State Road A1A, Boca Raton) is just down the road and is beautiful. Grill up some burgers on the park grills and then stroll on the sand. Pick up shells, chase the pesky seagulls, and hold hands. Always hold hands.
