Summer Theatre Camp

The Plaza Theatre, celebrating its second year in Plaza del Mar, is inviting all budding thespians to take the stage in their Summer Theatre Camp from June 9 – July 3 and July 7 – August 1, 2014.

The all-day programs run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with before and after care available. The camp includes performances of fully-staged Broadway musicals in a beautiful 250 seat theatre, as well as instruction from working professionals in voice, dance, audition and acting techniques, monologues, scene work, improvisation, and reading music.

SEC Horse Camp

The SEC Horse Camp will focus on equine care, balanced seat riding and on the ground horsemanship techniques, following the USPC curriculum. Proper care of the animals and equipment will also be stressed. We will participate in farm chores, including but not limited to mucking stall, cleaning feed and water buckets, equine training, grooming and bathing horses.

The cost for camp is $300 per session per week. For siblings and groups of two or more, the group rate is $250 per student.

Special Ocean Explorers Camp

Grades 7 & 8 Five-Day Camp Offered June 23 – 27, July 21 – 25, August 11 – 15

Campers will spend two days at the Museum and three days at FAU’s SeaTech in Dania Beach exploring coastal marine and coral reef ecosystems. They will conduct estuary and barrier island field work and tour FAU’s ocean engineering and electronics labs, submarine and flow tunnel. Plus, they will learn about sea turtles and marine science careers and design, build, and race a solar-powered boat.

Fee: $300 per five-day camp. Includes all workshop materials.

Comedy Night at Club Plaza!

The Plaza Theatre keeps the celebration going with an additional line up of cabaret and comedy thanks to its recent expansion in its Plaza del Mar location in Manalapan. MICHAEL GODARD - ‘THE ROCKSTAR OF THE ART WORLD’
