The Boca Raton Historical Society presented black granite stars to Flossy Keesely and Al Travasos for their significant long-term commitment to service in Boca Raton at the annual Walk of Recognition held at Royal Palm Place. Each plaque bearing the inductee's name is set into a commemorative monument beneath Royal Palm Place's Mizner statue. Flossy Keesely was honored for sponsoring local theatrical performances, as well as concerts for students. Al Travasos helped create several Boca Raton neighborhood parks and bring Mizner Park downtown. He has supported the community for many years.
