How young were you when you realized how talented you were, and what event (or events) made you think that you might be able to record music professionally?

It was only a few years ago that I started to sing. I went to see the movie “The Phantom of the Opera” with my mom. When I got home, I started singing the songs! I didn’t think about recording songs – It wasn’t until I got onto “America’s Got Talent” that I was asked to perform. I love it though.

How much has your life changed Since “America’s Got Talent?” Are you treated differently at school?

My life has changed, and so has my family’s, but we still do very normal things. They are very strict that I stay at home a lot of the time and don’t travel too much. I still go to school and am not treated differently. I love school and all my friends there.

You’ve performed in front of hundreds of thousands live, let alone the millions watching on TV. Do you get nervous? What goes through your head right before you go onstage?

I do get a bit nervous, but I use it in a positive way. I just focus on the song and try to do as best I can.

Many have noted that your voice sounds very adult. Did your mature singing voice come naturally, or is it something you worked at?

It came very naturally – that’s just the way I sing. My mom helps me and teaches me.

What songs would you most like to record on the future?

I just recorded a studio album that will be out this spring/summer. It’s a mix of well-known songs and unknown songs. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!
