The White Coat Society held its annual White Coats-4-Care scholarship fundraiser to support the Schmidt College of Medicine’s incoming class of medical students. More than $1 million was raised during this year’s record-breaking fundraiser, the proceeds of which will help to dress and equip the future doctors graduating in the class of 2026. Benefactors Ann and John Wood made a standout donation of $800,000, which will support 20 deserving medical students throughout their entire four-year education. Event Co-chair Bonnie Kaye attributed this year’s success to “the combined respect and advancement of the Schmidt College of Medicine, the community’s embrace of its mission and the deep commitment of generous donors invested in growing a strong, vital health care community.”
