All That Jazz at the Palm Beach Four Seasons

In something of a throwback to the days of sophisticated music, fine food and elegant ambiance, the Four Seasons Palm Beach (2800 S. Ocean Blvd., 561/582-2800) has paired with the Jazz Arts Music Society of Palm Beach to launch a monthly jazz concert paired to a three-course, prix fixe menu at two of the resort’s restaurants.

The four-month long series began earlier this month and continues on Feb. 7, March 7 and April 11, with music by the Harry Allen Quartet, trumpeter Bobby Lewis and Rose Max and Ramatis, respectively. It takes place at 8 p.m. at the resort’s Living Room lounge. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the concerts cost $25 for society members and $35 for non-members. The $45 per person Restaurant menu begins with either wild arugula salad with Humbolt Fog goat cheese, watermelon and prosciutto or tuna on rye’ahi sashimi on a rye crisp with spicy mustard and soy mayo. Entrees include Keys yellowtail snapper with mashed potatoes and basil vin blanc or Wagyu flatiron steak with choice of sauce and side. Desserts are crackerjack corn cake with popcorn sherbet and house made crackerjacks or house-churned gelato and sorbet.

The $35 Ocean Bistro menu features buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes, arugula, balsamic vinegar and olive oil or baby beets with arugula, goat cheese and walnut vinaigrette to start. Entrees offer a choice of veal schnitzel with asparagus, capers and lemon or crab-crusted salmon with sweet corn, bacon, vidalia onion and celeriac puree. For dessert are either Key lime pie or house-churned gelato and sorbet.
