Pompano Beach is a growing community, and the latest addition to the seaside town is AND Fish, which opens its doors to the public today.
Located inside the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach, the 115-seat restaurant provides a view of both the pool and the ocean. With a light nautical theme, the dining room features ship ropes, blue and tan wall paper, cream tufted seats and navy blue accents throughout.
To celebrate the restaurant’s opening, AND Fish hosted an invite-only cocktail party for guests to sample the food and pop some bubbly. I attended with a friend, and our favorite light bites were the grilled octopus over a bed of potatoes, creamy macaroni and cheese, and tuna poke.
Other items on the AND Fish menu includes items from both land and sea, such as Blue Point oysters, Maine lobster roll, udon noodle soup, island seafood stew, linguine clams, and steaks. To close out a meal, the dessert menu has strawberry shortcake, Florida key lime pie, warm chocolate cake and toasted coconut sundae—the chef’s older sister told me this last item is a must-have.
We’ll be sure to comeback for a full meal—and definitely for its weekday happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m.
