Boca Raton Idol Competition Slates New Date

The 2022 Boca Raton Bowl Idol talent show has announced its makeup date, after its originally scheduled performance was postponed due to Hurricane Ian. In the vocal talent competition presented by the City of Boca Raton, five singers will perform on Oct. 21 at Boca Raton Marriott at Boca Center, each hoping to be selected to perform the National Anthem at the next Boca Raton Bowl on Dec. 20 at FAU Stadium.

The multi-round showcase on Oct. 21 will feature the vocalists performing a song of their choice to a panel of judges, which, combined with audience votes, will narrow the field down to three. Those three will then perform the National Anthem to determine the winner.

Here are the five singers who have made the cut and are vying for the “Idol” title:

•          Jillian Flaherty, 20, soloist, amateur, Lake Worth

•          Alisha Harvey, 49, soloist, professional, Tallahassee

•          Hadas Levy, 40, soloist, professional, Boca Raton

•          Emily Shecter, 21, soloist, professional, Wellington

•          Rylee Siegel, 20, soloist, professional, Lake Worth

Admission to the Oct. 21 Finals event is $25 in advance and $35 at the door, and tickets include light food and beverages, with a cash bar available. For tickets, call 561/385-0144 or visit the Spirit of Giving Network website.
