Champagne Dinners

It’s the Champagne time of the year, and here are two pairing dinners to prove it—one in Palm Beach and one in Fort Lauderdale.

Grower Champagne dinner: Café Boulud, Palm Beach

Centering on terroir-focused wineries that grow the grapes for their own Champagne, Café Boulud on Palm Beach (301 Australian Ave., Palm Beach, 561/655-6060) is hosting a Grower Champagne Dinner on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. The artisanal Champagnes featured include: Champagne Pehu-Simonnet, Mark Hebrart, Vilmart & Cie and Geoffroy. Special guest Sunny Brown of Michael Skurnik Wines will present the Champagnes during the four-course dinner from Chef Rick Mace. The cost is $95 per person, not including tax and gratuity.

Champagne dinner pairing: Steak 954, Fort Lauderdale

At Steak 954 (401 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, 954/414-8333) on Dec. 9, food-friendly Champagnes will be served with appetizers and a four-course meal. The menu by Chef Nicolay Adinaguev includes oysters, veal carpaccio, a trio of beef filet and more. Champagnes include Moet & Chandon Imperial Brut, Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2004, Krug Grande Cuvee, among others. The cost is $125, and reservations are required.
