Coronavirus: More Than 100 Cases in Boca Raton

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to sweep across the United States, South Florida has begun to emerge as an hotspot of confirmed cases.

As of April 1 at 5 p.m., there were 117 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Boca Raton. That’s the 10th highest number of any city in the state of Florida, and the highest number of any city in Palm Beach County. In total, Palm Beach County has 616 confirmed cases.

As of this writing, there are 7,773 confirmed cases in the state of Florida, with 101 deaths.

The Florida Department of Health’s COVID-19 surveillance dashboard is closely monitoring the number of cases in the state, with updates twice daily at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. To view the full FDOH coronavirus dashboard, click here.

In an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19, the City of Boca Raton issued a “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order and the City of Delray Beach issued a stay home order and curfew.
