The number of Coronavirus cases in Boca Raton and throughout the State of Florida continues to rise even as preparations continue to enter Phase 2 of reopening.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Boca Raton has reached 755 as of 10 a.m. on Friday, June 12 according to the Florida Department of Health. Boca Raton has dropped down to 19th on the list of cities with the most confirmed cases in the State of Florida, and still trails West Palm Beach, Lake Worth, and Boynton Beach in Palm Beach County.
West Palm Beach leads Palm Beach County with 1,738 confirmed cases of COVID-19, followed by Lake Worth and Boynton Beach with 1,138 and 798 confirmed cases, respectively.
Palm Beach County still has the third-most confirmed cases in the state, with 8,094. That number accounts for 12% of all cases in the State of Florida. There are 70,931 confirmed cases in the state, with 11,706 hospitalizations and 2,877 deaths reported.
The Florida Department of Health reports that 1,336,895 COVID-19 tests have been administered throughout the state, with 70,971 positive results and 1,264,928 negative results.
The Florida Department of Health has expended its coronavirus information resources. It now offers reports on long-term care facilities with positive COVID-19 cases, long-term care facility deaths associated with COVID-19, total antibody results for Florida, a pediatric report, and deaths associated with COVID-19 at Florida Department of Corrections facilities.
