District Fit Adds Culinary Events, Celebrate Easter and Mother’s Day at The Addison

Upcoming District Fit includes cuisine events

District Fit is on for March 7 to 9 at CityPlace in West Palm Beach, with events at Hilton West Palm Beach and The Regional Kitchen & Public House. While the majority of sessions deal with Pilates, yoga, barre workouts, kids and adult hip hop, a fun run, Zumba and more, there are three cuisine events worth noting.

Kick-off Vegan Dinner Party
March 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hilton WPB Galley patio and deck

Cocktail stations, food stations and live music. $70 per person. Some dishes include: Impossible meatballs, oven-roasted cauliflower, quinoa fried rice and vegan donuts.

Cooking demo with Chef Lindsay Autry
March 9 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at The Regional Kitchen & Public House

Includes sampling of food being cooked, a Q&A with the chef, and take-home recipe cards. Tickets $25.

Master Gardeners Mike Kane and Faye Pelosi
March 9 at 11:30 a.m. at CityPlace Square

The gardeners from Palm Beach Farmyards will host a medicinal plant and herbalism workshop. Here’s how to use plants as infusions, decoctions, poultices and more, plus an overview of the most common medicinal plants in subtropical Florida. Tickets $5.

The Addison schedules Easter, Mother’s Day events

Because these sell out so quickly, you’re getting a jump on reservations when reading this. Lucky you! The Addison hosts some of the most delicious, beautiful events around and they are open to the public. For reservations, call 561/372-0568; theaddisonofbocaraton.com. Here are the two spring events:

  • Easter, April 21, starting at 10 a.m. Cost is $89.95 per person for the Easter brunch buffet that includes unlimited mimosas and bellinis, kids’ activities, and live music. Kids 12 and under are half-price.
  • Mother’s Day, May 12, starting at 10 a.m. The brunch is the same deal as Easter, with activities for the kids, music and more. Adults are $89.95; kids 12 and under are half-price; kids 2 and under are free.
