Easy Listening at the Bridge Hotel

If the kind of music played at most restaurants these days makes you think that roofing nails are being driven into your eardrums, you’ll want to check out the dinner-dancing-vocalist offerings at Carmen’s at the Top of the Bridge (999 E. Camino Real, Boca Raton, 651/368-9500).

Every Thursday night beginning Oct. 14 crooner Johnny T will belt out the tunes of such musical old-timers as Dean Martin and Frankie Avalon, accompanied by a three-course, $49.95 meal that includes starters like caprese salad, entrees like osso buco and classic desserts like tiramisu and profiteroles.

Friday nights through October feature Carl Padilla and Big Band sounds. Then on Saturday, Nov. 13, Memory Lane returns with its Motown Night; a $40 per person menu is offered too.

But no roofing nails.
