Beer is truly not just for breakfast any more. It’s also for upscale food pairings in the same manner as wine.
And if you want to see (and taste) just how far brewmasters and chefs have come, then you’d better make reservations for Tuesday’s Brew and Food Pairing Dinner at Boca’s English Tap & Beer Garden (5050 Town Center Circle, 561/544-8000).
The five-course meal costs $40 per person and kicks off at 7 p.m. with beer-steamed mussels and frites with Rascal Belgian White Ale; then goes on to courses of seared ahi sliders with Victory Headwaters Pale Ale; prosciutto, gorgonzola and fig flatbreads with Terrapin Hopsecutioner IPA; grilled bangers ‘n’ mash with Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale; and finishes with mixed berry trifle with Lindeman’s Lambic mimosas.
Of course, you could always get up the next morning and pop a cold one with your Cornflakes too.
