Blue Tuesdays at Boston’s on the Beach

May 9, 2017 @ 8:30 pm - 11:30 pm

This spring, strike blues music gold during Blue Tuesdays at the legendary beachfront hot spot Boston’s on the Beach. Enjoy salty ocean breezes paired with cold suds, mouthwatering New England-inspired cuisine, and the best blues music for a memorable night in South Florida.

On May 9, Mac Arnold and Plate Full O’ Blues is in the house! Mac Arnold’s first band included James Brown, the “Godfather of Soul,” on piano. Born in South Carolina, Mac later moved to Chicago where he auditioned for Muddy Waters, the “Father of Modern Chicago Blues.” Muddy hired him on the spot. He toured and recorded with the Muddy Waters Band and recorded LPs with Otis Spann and John Lee Hooker. Later, Mac moved to Los Angeles where he played bass on the Sanford and Son sitcom theme music, and co-produced the music-dance TV program Soul Train with his good friend Don Cornelius. Today, Mac weaves his musical magic onstage with Austin Brashier (guitarist and vocals), Max Highwater (keyboard, harmonica, guitar, and bass), and Scotty Hawkins (drummer).

Blue Tuesdays also spotlights great food and drink specials, including the boozy Nucklebuster Smash cocktail and Boston’s very own A1A IPA. Mouthwatering entrées include garlic-braised short rib penne, juicy, marinated steak tips, and the architecturally impressive SBLT, featuring local shrimp topped with tomato, five-spiced, thick-cut applewood bacon, and pickled ginger slaw.

Blue Tuesdays’ performances on the Boston’s stage are from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., every Tuesday evening. No cover. For more information about Blue Tuesdays’ performances, please visit us online at bostonsonthebeach.com/bluetuesdays.

Boston’s on the Beach is located at 40 South Ocean Blvd. A1A, Delray Beach, Florida. For more information or to make a reservation, please visit bostonsonthebeach.com or call 561.278.3364.
