Carlebach and the Symphony Concert

January 18, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Carlebach and the Symphony

Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach—tknown as the ‘singing Rabbi’ and considered the most influential composer of Jewish religious music of the 20th century – lived and sang through many historical and cultural developments, including the Holocaust, the Six-Day War, the hippie phenomenon, the New Age movement, and other events that were channeling the course of Jewish life.

This concert, in honor of Eleanor and Paul Weiner (z’l), celebrates the unique form of heartfelt Judaism, joyful optimism, and soulful rejuvenation that Shlomo Carlebach inspired. We invite you to join us on January 18 at 7:30pm as we bring to the stage a full Symphony Orchestra with 50 musicians to interpret many of his works, with the help of Dr. Mordechai and Ofir Sobol as producers and conductors and three magnificent Israeli cantors, Arik Wolheim, Chaim David Berson and Netanel Baram.

It promises to be a spirited and nostalgic evening as we join together to sing many of the well-known melodies and enjoy the new and exciting nuances.

To order tickets, go to www.btcboca.org/ConcertSeries2017 or call Elysa at 561-392-8566 x 349.
