The Grammy-award winning jazz pianist has prepared a special show for Arts Garage, highlighting the music of music of Gershwin, Arlen, and Bernstein Considered one of the world’s premiere jazz pianists, Charlap won the 2016 Grammy award for Best Traditional Pop Album for his record with Tony Bennett. He has also performed with leading artists ranging from Phil Woods to Gerry Mulligan and Wynton Marsalis. For his special show at Arts Garage, Charlap will highlight the music of iconic American composers George Gershwin, Harold Allen and Leonard Bernstein, along with his Trio (Peter Washington on bass and Kenny Washington on drums).
