Calling all fashion lovers! Resource Depot, a nonprofit tackling Palm Beach County’s growing waste problem by rescuing unwanted and excess materials, turning waste into wonder, will host its first annual Make Fashion Circular Celebrity Challenge where six local makers and designers are revamping gently-used jackets for good. Over the last few weeks, these jackets were transformed, using materials and fashion construction techniques, from their original state into one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces using materials found at Resource Depot.

Local participants include designer Amanda Perna who has previously competed on Project Runway, Alyson Seligman of the popular Instagram/blog The Modern Savvy, designer Kristen Alyce whose work has graced the pages of Cosmopolitan Magazine and WPTV Today on 5’s Ashleigh Walters who happens to also be an artists.

On Thursday, February 24 from 5-8 p.m. the fabulously upcycled jackets will be revealed and available for bidding through an auction with proceeds benefitting Resource Depot's environmental arts education programs.
