Benefiting Poor Guatemalan Families
Delray Beach, Fla. — On Thursday, Mar. 8, South Florida residents will have an opportunity to enjoy a friendly golf competition while making a difference in the lives of needy families in Guatemala.
Cross International, a South Florida-based relief and development ministry, is holding its second annual Palm Beach Golf Classic at the Seagate Country Club. This fun event will support the ministry’s effort to rescue severely malnourished children from starvation and give them lifesaving food and medicine.
Admission to the event is $250 per person. Bring family and friends to enjoy the club’s 300-acre championship course and participate in a silent auction. Cross International encourages individuals and local businesses to make an impact by donating auction items. Sponsorships are also available for those who wish to play an important role in the fight against child hunger.
Proceeds from this event can literally save lives. Malnutrition is a major problem among the rural poor in Guatemala’s Zacapa region, and Cross International is partnering with in-country relief workers to identify the most urgent cases and rush those children to an emergency nutrition center for the care they desperately need. The transformation from near death to healthy, thriving and smiling is dramatic!
