Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County’s new Young Professionals Club members are traveling west to to support the needs of peer HYP affiliate: Habitat for Humanity of Collier County on March 8-9. Participation fee of $150 per person includes shared hotel accommodations at Springhill Suites and transportation. Breakfast is included.
On Thursday, March 8, HYPC participants will work with the siding crew leaders to install exterior components of the home, responsible for the middle phase of construction, which includes installing vinyl siding, soffits, insulation, and other moderately labor-intensive tasks. On Friday, March 9, HYPC volunteers will help with Hurricane Irma recovery work repairs on homes moderately damaged by the storm, including minor roof repair. Volunteers will be paired off with crew leaders to patch and shingle damaged roofs.
