Surfing in Cyberspace — Keeping Your Loved One Safe on the Internet Highway
Location
Jewish Federation of Broward County Katz Building
Description
The internet is clearly one of the greatest inventions of the last century. While surfing the web can be fun, it can also be very dangerous, especially for those with developmental disabilities. Internet safety is extremely important. This workshop explores the pros and cons of spending time in cyberspace, and offers tips on how to be protected from scams and catfishing and how to keep personal information safe while on the internet.
The seminar is free and open to the community. Presented by Joshua's Path at Goodman JFS of Broward County. The Joshua's Path program supports, educates and empowers adults with developmental disabilities, their parents, siblings and other caregivers by providing free consultations, a searchable website, resources and educational seminars.
