Evert Tennis Academy expands full time educational options with Grandview partnership
Tennis is taking over our town…just in case you hadn’t noticed! Between the South Florida weather and the many pre-professional coaching and instruction options, our local student athletes are clearly benefitting. Not to mention out-of-town youth talent being drawn to our area because of big names like Chris Evert. I love tennis and look forward to going the Delray Open each year! Plus, I’m constantly encouraging my 6 year-old daughter to try out tennis since it’s one of those sports that you can really play for your whole life.
The latest news in local youth tennis is a new educational partnership between the Evert Tennis Academy and the East Boca private school Grandview Preparatory. Rather than designing a full time traditional educational presence on Evert’s West Boca campus, Grandview will “serve up” its own curriculum and faculty, and focus on personalized teaching for high school students who are training at the Evert Tennis Academy. This will all kick off in fall 2020. The Evert Tennis Academy chose to partner with Grandview because their curriculum fosters creativity, community service, and academic success.
Evert is planning to begin renovations shortly to develop additional classroom space, with the first official semester having Grandview on campus slated for the fall. Students will also have the opportunity to travel to Grandview’s east Boca campus to participate in field trips, school events such as Homecoming and Prom, and monthly convocations. If you’re a full time training athlete, this is an ideal way to have the best of both worlds.
Only in Boca, right?
