The third annual retail event, celebrating the kickoff of New York Fashion Week, was held in stores across the US– and in 17 other countries.
Boca Raton’s own Saks was teaming with shoppers and onlookers as both floors showcased fall tips and trends.
The makeup/fragrance area of the store offered a variety of special treatments.
At Dior, guests enjoyed a sneak peak of the new J’Adore commercial, while enjoying French wine and a a fall makeover. The Estee Lauder counter offered an arm and décolleté exfoliation, and La Mer offered hand and arm massages (carrying all those shopping bags is hard work!). In celebration of the launch of fragrance No.4, Hanae Mori offered nail treatments to guests, including a butterfly nail appliqué.
Upstairs, shoppers were treated to sweets and had an opportunity to browse the Fall 2011 Gucci Ready-to-Wear Collection.
One treat that took this editor by surprise was the skin lotion by Laura Mercier. The creamy product was presented in brightly colored cupcake foils as four “flavors”: Fresh Fig, Créme de Pistachio, Almond Coconut Milk, and Créme Brûlée.
It never occurred to me that it wasn’t dessert…
Lets just say, Laura Mercier’s creamy collection smells a lot better than it tastes.
