Barbecue Sauce Recipe
Created by Irish athlete Conor McGregor, Proper No. Twelve whiskey boasts hints of vanilla, honey sweetness and toasted wood. Its smoothness makes for a delightful pour, but it’s also great for a grilling sauce. Try this one at home.
The Proper Whiskey Barbecue Sauce
- 1/2 cup Proper No. Twelve whiskey
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 3 cups ketchup
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 tsp hot pepper sauce
Directions: Bring it to a boil in a sauce pot. Let it simmer for 20 minutes. Serve.
