FemAle Brew Fest honors women in brewing

Fellow FemAle beer lovers, this one’s for you. On March 24, at Huizenga Plaza in Fort Lauderdale, you will find a large selection of breweries either owned or co-owned by women. This is the second annual FemAle Brew Fest, but the first time in this location, which is larger and now pet-friendly. There will be more than 25 breweries represented, plus vendors with food and more. VIP tickets are $95 each and include early admission. General admission tickets are $45 each and include a beer sampling from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Pink Boots Society and Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale. Slow Food Miami’s Tasting Party on March 16

For the seventh year, the Slow Food Miami bunch is holding its annual “Snail of Approval” Tasting Party, and everyone who attends is a winner here. This March 16 Miami Beach bash features a mix of current 2017-2018 honorees and past winners. Some tastes to watch for include: 3030 Ocean, Beaker & Gray, Glass and Vine, The Strand, Stiltsville Fish Bar, Soul Tavern and many more.
