Over the years, my gift-giving has gone up a notch because I have friends who are very good gift-givers. Selecting the perfect gift for any occasion is an art, but it’s easier said than done. With online shopping platforms such as Etsy making it much easier to find unique novelty items, the search for that special item should be a breeze. However, if you’re not quite sure what you’re on the hunt for, sifting through those countless product pages is less than desirable. Ultimately, nothing compares to the in-store shopping experience. Plus, you’re supporting local businesses, an important piece of the fabric that makes any community stand out.
I’ve compiled my personal list of local boutiques that carry beautiful products at a variety of price points as a great go-to resource for your gift-shopping needs. Fun side note, these boutiques also carry awesome items for children so level up your gifting for any age.
The Shops at The Seagate

In the shops at The Seagate, they carry a thoughtfully curated assortment of apparel, accessories and home accents selected from local and international brands. Whether you’re looking for a unique housewarming gift or an over the top anniversary present, you’ll find a beautiful selection of items to choose from. What I love about their offering is how intentional the buyers are in their approach to the assortment. They select brands and items that are unique to Palm Beach County, making it easy to find a one-of-a-kind gift.

A Little Wyld

The creative brainchild of Co-Founders Amanda Perna and Skye Dyer, A Little Wyld is a lovingly-curated boutique showcasing “whimsical, high-quality and memorable products.” Not only do they have fun gifting items such as hand-dyed Neon pillar candles and thoughtful self-care journals, but you can even customize House of Perna bags that are the quintessential Delray Beach accessory. Without fail, you’ll leave this boutique with an extra pep in your step. It’s a happy place!

Boca Raton Museum of Art

For those art-loving friends out there, the gift shop housed in the Boca Raton Museum of Art has been a staple of mine for years. Upon entering the Museum, it’s hard to miss the boutique featuring an array of great gift options including Guzzini bowls, Kathleen Lang silk scarves, statement jewelry pieces, Italian leather purses by Vera Pelle, and more. While you’re there, take the time to peruse the Museum’s internationally-acclaimed exhibits. It’s a gem in our city.

The Fluffy Corner

When you go to The Fluffy Corner, located right behind The Tin Muffin, be ready to enter a magical world of pastels. Owner Sara Bowles opened her boutique only three months ago, but the word is spreading quickly around town. She carries items that are hard to find at big box stores and all of the brands she works with are women-owned. Bowle’s signature mini and everlasting bouquets accompanied by interestingly-shaped ceramic vases are a great go-to choice. If you don’t have time to head over to downtown Boca, The Fluffy Corner now has a kiosk at Town Center mall, near the Apple store.

The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum

Part of the Boca Raton Historical Society, the newly renovated and interactive The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum has a quaint gift shop featuring Boca Raton and Florida-centric items. For those history-loving people in your life, the niche items on display are conversation starters. It’s also a great source for interesting coffee-table books on our community’s rich history. Also noteworthy, each year, the organization sells a limited-edition hand-painted commemorative glass ornament shining the spotlight on a different local landmark. This year, they pay homage to the Old Inlet Bridge.
