The Tavern at Jupiter has gone out with the tide, replaced by the Gulfstream Cafe (1352 S. Hwy. 1, 561/744-5144), which washes into Jupiter with a seafood-oriented menu that features “Low Country classics” plus steaks and pasta.
On your plate that means jumbo lump crabcakes with Creole remoulade, creamy she-crab soup, New Orleans-style barbecued shrimp, and variety of fried fish and shellfish platters. Sunday brunch dishes include fruit and cream cheese-filled French toast and blackened shrimp and Andouille sausage over grits.
There’s also live music, seasonal oyster roasts and a DIY Bloody Mary bar at brunch, which really ought to get the good times rolling.
