When the “feels like” temp hits the mid-90s, lemonade, a swimming pool and ice cream are on the agenda. July is also National Ice Cream month—as if we needed to make it official. Here are some new places and tastes to try:
Proper Ice Cream
Crema
If you haven’t tried this form of ice cream—Thai rolled ice cream—put it on your summer list. With choices like Hazelnut Dream (vanilla ice cream, hazelnut spread, wafers), Fresa (vanilla ice cream, strawberries, graham cracker), this process of scraping and then rolling the ice cream proves deliciousness comes in all forms. Hoffman’s Chocolates
Serendipity Creamery
This shop that makes everything folded into the ice cream (marshmallows, cookie dough, peanut butter cups), as well as the ice cream (pictured above), has pushed out passionfruit with jackfruit jam, banana cardamom with salted caramel pecans, and white chocolate cherry with chiffonade of mint as new summer flavors.
