We’re the type of girls that start planning their Halloween costumes in spring. In fact, we’ve had our costumes for this year planned since Nov. 1 of last year. We tend to become a little “basic” when fall rolls around. Give us all the football, pumpkin scents, warm color tones, dark nail polish, and of course HALLOWEEN.
So, to say Halloween at The Addison wasn’t a huge success would be a complete understatement. Halloween at the Addison presents “The Silver Scream” paid homage to the 1930’s with classic horror icons: Dracula, Frankenstein, the Werewolf of London, and the Mummy.
All of our planning and running around was all well spent, because we’re happy to announce that we won first place in The Addison’s Halloween costume contest as Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan!
Now that we have your attention, here are some of the highlights we took note of. Voted as Boca magazine’s “Event of the Year” last year, The Addison left no key unturned this year with a unique and over-the-top event experience to benefit Slow Burn Theatre Company at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
As always, the party featured extravagant event production (with a haunted walk-through and themed rooms) sponsored by Daniel Events, live music and entertainment by Custom DJs and Celebrity Entertainment, foodie-approved fare catered by the Addison, and an open bar with specialty craft cocktails. Boca magazine was also this year’s exclusive media sponsor.
Each room was themed to represent the best of the best in classic, horror cinema: Dracula, Werewolf of London, Frankenstein, Jack the Ripper, Haunted House, The Mummy.
If you missed the party, definitely put it on your to-do list for next Halloween. We’re already formulating our next costume.
