Mark Your Calendars: Locals Dinners at Trophy Room and Rebel House

While there are hurricane relief efforts, football games and a heat index that’s trying to dip below three digits, there are also September’s dining promotions from Palm Beach County through Miami-Dade. Don’t forget to get out to eat with these specials going on: Flavor Palm Beach, Greater Fort Lauderdale Restaurant Month, Miami Spice!

Here are some special local dinners coming up:

In what will definitely be a delicious collaboration dinner, Trophy Room’s Chef James Strine (previously of Palm Beach’s Hai House and Café Boulud) will feed some lucky diners Sept. 18 with his former co-worker at Café Boulud, Chef Rick Mace.

To make this even better, the dinner will be a modern take on French dishes that were served at NYC’s first fine dining restaurant, Delmonico’s, during the Gilded Age. The recipes are from “The Epicurean,” an 1893 culinary encyclopedia written by Delmonico Chef Charles Ranhofer. You enjoy history paired with amazing tastes! Cost is $75 per person. Also that day, since it’s Wine Wednedsay at Trophy Room, bottles of wine are half off, and the reserve list is 20 percent off.

Keep an eye out for Strine’s next collaboration on Oct. 16 with Chef Tim Lipman from Coolinary Café.
