Local fans of the PGA Tour and Champions Tour have yearly opportunities to see the greats of men’s golf—past and present—tee it up close to home (like next month’s Allianz Championship in Boca Raton). Thanks to Bethesda Hospital Foundation, fans of the LPGA Tour have a similar opportunity Monday at Pine Tree Golf Club in Boynton Beach (10935 S. Military Trail).
The fourth annual Bethesda Pro-Am, benefiting the foundation, is bringing together a who’s who of the women’s tour, including current stars Michelle Wie (pictured above) and Paula Creamer (pictured below), as well as Hall of Famers Nancy Lopez, Juli Inkster and JoAnne Carner; fellow Hall of Famer Beth Daniel, along with Meg Mallon, are the tournament hosts.
The event is free to the public; parking ($5) is available at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, across from Pine Tree. Trolley service runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the pro-am’s shotgun start begins at 11 a.m.
Other confirmed participants include: Stacy Lewis, Brittany Lincicome, Brittany Lang, Michelle McGann, Lexi Thompson and Karrie Webb, herself a Hall of Famer.
