It’s never too early to start thinking about Thanksgiving desserts, and now you can give back to the community while making your Thanksgiving shopping list shorter. The Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches pie sale happens thanks to the participation of local chefs and bakers who donate the pies. You can place your order from now through Nov. 15. Apple, pecan and pumpkin pies are $30, and key lime pies are $35. Your $30 donation underwrites a hot meal for a local homebound senior. Each pie is 9 inches, but the style and presentation depend on the chef. The baker who made your pie will only be revealed when you pick it up. Pies will be ready for pick up on Nov. 21 at three locations: The Palm Beach County Convention Center and two Duffy’s Sports Grills (Jupiter and Delray Beach). Participating restaurants, hotels, companies and country clubs include PGA National, The Polo Club, Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street, Boca Grove and Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa.
