Get your meatballs on during National Meatball Day, which is Saturday, March 9.

Locally, Vic & Angelo’s in Palm Beach Gardens is celebrating the fact that it has served about 125,000 of its giant meatballs since the doors opened in 2006. That’s a lotta meatballs! Its Nonna’s Gigantic Meatball (pictured left) is a huge meatball that’s $16 and made of ground veal, pork and American Wagyu beef, topped with ricotta, grated Parmesan and breadcrumbs. Only $8 during happy hour! Vic & Angelo’s, 4520 PGA Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens; 844/842-2632; vicandangelospga.com
Carrabba’s is also celebrating National Meatball Day by offering a free dish of meatballs and ricotta when you order two other entries. These are cooked to order in pomodoro sauce, then topped with ricotta and Parmesan. This is good at all locations. carrabbas.com
