New Dishes and Brunches Galore


With the season upon us comes rollouts of new tastes, and 3030 Ocean in Fort Lauderdale has a lineup of creations by Executive Chef Adrienne Grenier and Executive Sous Chef Brooke Mallory.

The new dishes include starters such as grilled oysters with tasso butter (oh yum!), littleneck clams with spicy chorizo broth to entrees such as creamy crab with piquillos pepper linguini, preserved lemon, charred fresnos and breadcrumbs, or pumpkin cavatelli (pictured) with roasted mushrooms, ricotta and pea tendrils. Or desserts by Pastry Chef Huma Nagi, such as New Orleans style beignets (yes, please!) with sarsaparilla pot de crème and fresh raspberries, or pumpkin whoppie pies paired with beer-battered apple slices, which are fried, dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with caramel and pumpkin ice cream. Addition to your brunch lineup: B Square Burgers & Booze


With the next weekend looming on the horizon (I know it’s Tuesday, but we can dream, right?), you can put B Square Burgers & Booze on your brunch to-do list. On both Saturday and Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., brunch will offer lobster eggs Benedict, or three meat skillet, or banana nut bread French toast (pictured), as well as $15 bottomless mimosas and sangrias. Angelo Elia Pizza Bar & Tapas starting weekend brunch


Speaking of new brunches in town, join the gang on Saturdays and Sundays at Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar & Tapas (that’s the Angelo Elia of Casa D’Angelo on Palmetto Park Road) for brunch in both the Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs locations. The brunch menu is an Italian one, with dishes such as Mama’s Sunday Gravy Rigatoni (pictured) with pork ribs, small veal and beef meatballs, caciocavallo cheese and San Marzano sauce.
