Local restaurateurs aren’t letting any arugula grow under their feet when it comes to opening new dining establishments of all shapes, sizes and cuisines. Here are a few debuts to look forward to in 2013. . .
Meat Market. This Palm Beach outpost of SoBe’s hip, upscale steakhouse is said to be “sexy and elegant.’ Expected to open in the fall.
Burt & Max’s. A Max’s Grille spin-off in Delray Marketplace from ex-partners Burt Rapoport and Dennis Max, set to debut “soon.”
Racks Fish House & Oyster Bar. Downtown Delray gets even richer with this New England-inspired seafoodie. Opening early this year.
Smashburger. Another “gourmet fast casual” burger eatery, this one on South Federal in Boynton Beach. UPDATE: is now open.
Shake Shack. Noo Yawk restaurateur Danny Meyer’s acclaimed casual burger joint should be slinging patties in mid-2013.
Segreto. Italian eatery said to open in January in Boca Raton.
Coming sometime this year but no debut date set. . .
Jazziz. A $6 million redo of the old ZED 451 space in Mizner Park creates a cool-sounding jazz club-restaurant-lounge.
Cabo Flats. Stylized Mexican hopes to replicate the success of the Palm Beach Gardens original.
Red Brick Grille. Restaurant in the giant Frank Cinebowl & Grille in the even more giant Delray Marketplace complex.
El Patron Cantina Mexicana. Takes over the old surf shop on East Atlantic Avenue.
Shula Burger. Yet another restaurant (and burger joint) to open in the Delray Marketplace.
Rockn’ Angels. Live music venue, bar and restaurant coming to the old Blu Reef Bar & Grille space in Boca.
Stefano’s Pizzeria & Grill. Italian-American restaurant looking to debut in Lake Worth.
